Don Chaffer (composer/lyricist/co-producer) has had a band (Waterdeep) with his wife (Lori) since 1996. After getting off the road in 2003, he produced records, ran a recording studio, and had a songwriting deal. In 2007, he started writing for theater. Since then, he’s written three shows with Chris Cragin-Day (The Unusual Tale of Mary & Joseph’s Baby, Son of a Gun, The Zombie Family Musical), three with Lori Fischer (The Sparkley Clean Funeral Singers; Is This Heaven, Evan?; Memory of Damage), and one on his own (The (Almost) Unforgettable Edwin Booth). He’s also co-created two theatrical revues with Matt Logan (The Hank Legacy, The Cash Legacy), was selected for the O’Neill National Music Theater Conference, won the Georgia Bogardus Holof Lyricist Award, is a two-time Richard Rodgers Award finalist, and has two ASCAP awards.
